Manga is FOR THE WIN There is very little out there that is better as an Anime, Ghost in the shell being the case in point, but for every Anime out there that is great, 97% of them have a Manga that is better.
Why do people not get this??

because they watch the anime first personally i hate what anime do somtimes take for instance Pandora Hearts. Manga is great .......anime ended on OVA content with so many loose strings you could make a ball of yarn

Yeah, but I'm generally into reading first. Although, most of the time, once I've read a manga, I usually have even less desire to watch the Anime, so maybe it's essentiallycounter productive. Or maybe it's just me...

I personally like both, they each have pros and cons but I think when people choose anime its becase they want their favourite scenes in colour, fully animated which is always appealing to watch. Although for certain series like Naruto and Bleach, reading manga cuts out all the filler bulls*** which I can appricate.

Yeah, filler is what put me off stuff like Dragon Ball Z anime... Still though, I can see the merits, and the flashy effects are sometimes impossible to do in Manga. Also, some things like Bleach are too fast paced for Manga, and you need to watch the anime to get a concept of the speed.
